As the Kyoto Protocol goes into effect on February 16th, The International
Council for Capital Formation, The Institute of Economic Analysis,
and Istituto Bruno Leoni present a revised version of Climate
Change Policy and Economic Growth: A Way Forward to Ensure Both.
This volume points out a path which could lead to reduced global
GHG emissions without harming economic growth in both developed
and developing economies.
The book presents a collection of analyses by internationally renowned
climate policy modelers and economists who conclude that the Kyoto
Protocol, with its targets and timetables approach to
climate policy, is not an effective tool for addressing the potential
threat of significant human-induced global climate change, Dr. Margo
Thorning, ICCF Managing Director, told press conference participants
at a February 14 briefing.
